What am I getting myself into?
Nothing.  No.  I'm not going to get into this.  I know I shouldn't.
....But then why do I keep setting myself up for it?
Why do I keep putting myself in these types of situations?

I don't know what I want.
I don't know what You want.
Why would You place this in front of me?
Is it to turn away and take a different path?  Or to overcome?
